From 1 July 2026, the Australian Government is introducing mandatory Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) for seafood in the hospitality sector. As your supply partner, JFC is committed to helping your business stay compliant and informed.
What is the “AIM” Model?
Under the new regulations, all seafood dishes on your menu must be clearly labelled using the simple AIM model:
A – Australian: Seafood entirely sourced from Australia.
I – Imported: Seafood entirely sourced internationally.
M – Mixed: Dishes containing both Australian and imported seafood.
How JFC Supports You
To make your transition seamless, JFC provides the necessary origin information (A, I, or M) directly on your INVOICE.By checking your JFC invoices, you can easily identify the correct label for each product and update your menus, signage, or online platforms accordingly.
